    @Tv forums gemeinde.

    Bravo Ehc.

    they played together! A team.

No problem for me if you think the referees are the basis for loosing that game...its esay to every time after loosing cheating about the referees...but I do not think that this will help to avoid further loosing games... but also anymore, for me, it was not a foul...

Winning and losing is strictly on the team - from top to bottom. on that we are in total agreement. as for foul or not we can agree to disagree since it happened past the goal line... have a great day..

But that wasn't exactly it (it wasn't a push towards the boards, it wasn't a check and therefore not a foul)...it was a tackle in which Supinski lost his balance and then crashed into the boards. ..with his arm and shoulder first...otherwise nothing would have happened...otherwise you could punish every tackle that happened within 2 meters of the boards...have fun then, because then we're talking about women's ice hockey ...^^...but again...you have your opinion, I mean...and Massy is one of the best referees in the SL for me and, as a former player, he has a very good understanding of the action being judged...personal opinion too...we don't agree on that...

How do you know if the referee was "good" during the game? Afterward there aren't 4 pages of posts about the referee!!! (unless he gave CPR and saved a life). There were more times of questionable calls/non-calls then just the soup one. Just seconds before Soup started down the ice #33 is coming back across our blue line with the puck followed by one of their guys and clearly his skates are pushed out from under him from behind with ref looking right at it - no call. Then next period along the right hand boards in their zone our man carrying the puck is stood up against the boards (very nicely done) and then is lifted off his skates dropped on his back and jumped on and held there - he reacts and a penalty is called - on our guy. not theirs, not both just one.. So I say he may have been a player, may actually be a decent guy/ref but it always seems after he does one of our games there seem to be questions.

The thing is...that in a normal play there are most minutes were there is no power or boxplay and then you can, especially as home team, react on the lines of your oponent...so you can play with third and fourth line, it makes no sence -in my opinion- to force everytime the same players, espacially if you also need them in power- and boxplay...it is only my opinon and my knowledge from watching several teams, espacially teams where the coaches have pressure to win matches...but we do not have this pressure at the moment as we wound go up to NL and can not go down to myhockey league...

I understand your point and agree but consider what you would be reading here if you have your top 2 lines resting and have line 3 and 4 on the ice against the other team’s best line. And suddenly you are down 2 or 3 goals. Watching some teams (Sierre, Winti and Gck for example) seem some of their guys are out every other shift when there aren’t any pp or ss situations. Checking the on ice times in the scoresheets our line 1 and line 2 guys don’t seem to be over used and unlike most teams we seem to roll all 4 lines except For special team play Shame that the league doesn’t have stats centralized and sorted so we can see the top ice time guys. Saturday’s game should be interesting playing short guys

“the check was a duel”. Pass from Soup at blue line and hit made over the goal line with no puck in sight that my friend is not a duel - it is interference, unnecessary and an outright assault. Most of the rest of your post I could almost agree with except the position that not playing your better guys more than your 4th line is a prudent use of your limited resources. When your best guys are your penalty killers, also your best chance on the power play and compose your #1 and #2 lines they will need to play more. You watch the games they come off the ice for rest and presto line 3 and 4 end up in the penalty box and they are right back out. The game usually dictates playing time and when you are down 4-5 starters that means somebody plays more. it’s what those players do with that added time that decides the W or the L

Yes, that's true they were one less, but they were just skating back, not really looking in which direction all the Bellinzona attackers are skating and which one has no "guard"... They are often all skating in the direction of the puck instead of looking where all the opponents are...

I agree.. Many times they seem to be single minded. you can't just hit the ice thinking score score score.. I've concluded that we have only a few (less than 5) that see the entire ice well, that results in not seeing open passes, open opportunities and certainly not sneaky back checkers etc. We have too many one dimensional players - you notice them when a rush goes offsides because they deke at the blue line, They skate with the puck not caring if someone is open and taking shots that clank right into the guy in front of them. The worst part is it doesn't seem to be just the rookies or just the veterans. I believe it is the result of The fact that all everybody cares about (the league, the sports writers etc.) is the goals that get scored and the guy that scores them. Best player is almost always a hot goalie or the guy who scored. sometimes the best player is the guy who is blocking shots, clearing the crease, making crisp passes and checking his butt off etc.

We all know the key to a good pp is quick puck movement, accurate passes and good shots... and how many times in this very forum is written - they only have a few guys who can pass the puck - kind of kills the quick puck movement and accurate passes part doesn't it. especially since if the 2 best are passing, they aren't shooting.. mix in Kummer and Supinski out of the game and the PP will struggle.

So far, a very weak game from Basel and once again the foreign line conceded a goal due to chaotic defensive work...

Hardly any passes, or very imprecise ones, or blind passes forward, you don't even try to pass to a colleague, or you try it alone...

With such a busy schedule, you should focus even more on a style of play that saves energy, i.e. passing instead of running after the puck... You could also call that a tactical failure on the part of the coach. And in the box play, you are much too close to the goal and too far away from the opponents, no wonder they can choose the corner (at 2:1).

"the foreign line conceded a goal " - you mean when it was 5 on 4 because the Captain was laying on the other end of the ice injured ??

Supinski left the arena immediately and didn’t return. The announcer thought 51, 61 and 17 were 71.

2 of your 5 better players were missing after the first - didn’t help the cause as they are your primary play makers, puck carriers and passers. The snakes watched our last game - pack it back in front of your own net - grab when you need to and if you get ahead grab even more.

they ran into a defense first team and had no answers Passes to nobody, give aways , turning back on rushes due to no confidence and feet not moving - flat most of the game. Hitting 5 posts didn’t help either. The game kinda matched the sweaters - ugly or damn close.

Halloween does not come from the USA, it is a Celtic custom, so geographically European😉

Halloween has its origins in the Celtic festival of Samhain, which was celebrated on October 31st. The Celts believed that on this day, the boundary between the world of the living and the dead blurred. To appease the spirits, they lit fires and wore costumes.

Over the centuries, Halloween evolved and became heavily influenced by Christian traditions, particularly through All Saints' Day on November 1st. In the United States, Halloween became popular in the 19th century when Irish immigrants brought their customs with them. Today, Halloween is mainly known for costume parties, trick-or-treating, and other festive activities.

At least they did away with the “build a bonfire and dance around it “Skyclad” (nude).

:sign1_hm: …so I could easily do without the Halloween nonsense now :sign2_sry:

I just have trouble with the fact that we should take all this US garbage over to Europe. In the end it is just money making, where

    a few that support me.

And Switzerland doesn't have any cultural history with this origin from overseas, which I believe even has a European origin?

The game, of course, interests me more:sprint:

Trust me - more Europe garbage has come to the US then is coming your way.. Rolex, BMW, Cookoo clocks, beer Steins etc. all with the same objective "making money" at least with Halloween it's for the kids and only 1 evening a year. It's a nasty world out there one night of fun and candy won't kill ya.. As for cultural history Castles, Ghosts, witches, Dragons, Gypsies etc. seems those originated over there in that general area of Europe.. Isn't that a dragon on the jersey?? Smile OldRolf enjoy the mascot and all the little kiddies..

we need to consider that if we have 2 sick goalies that maybe some of the players are also not well and playing through whatever malaise the goalies have. Some did look a bit pale.
